The Causerie

The Causerie is an intimate restaurant & bottleshop located in the beautiful riverside town of Blairgowrie, Perthshire.

We aspire to serve simple, seasonal, locally sourced food in a friendly, unpretentious, fun-filled environment. Our food is cooked to order by Pete, our Chef/co-owner, supported by Janice, our midnight baker/co-owner.

We offer a large range of wines by the glass, cocktails, beers and soft drinks, and really good coffee from local roasteries, hand made butter from Bothy Butter near Forfar, a fine selection of teas and the best hot chocolate for many miles.

We serve wines predominantly focused on biodynamic, minimal intervention farming methods and try to feature small producers wherever possible. For our range of whiskies, gins, rums and other drinks, we apply the same principle whenever we can.

We try to have hidden gems, lesser-known grape varieties, growers and distillers, especially those who treat their surroundings, people and animals with the respect they deserve.

Our wines, whiskies, gins, rums and other drinks are available for both on and off sales, pop in for a chat and sample our wines and, of course, our food.
